Performances with Composer Charles Amirkhanian
For over a decade (1974-1987) composer Charles Amirkhanian and Carol Law collaborated to create over eighteen audio visual performance works. His ambient sound and text compositions on tape were sometimes combined with live mic performances as he moved in projected environments of Law’s slide art works. Law selected Kodachrome film for its high quality, pure color and ability to create the illusion of a slow-motion film action (as opposed to early video technology then available only in much lower resolution format). Two of these early performance works recently have been produced as high-quality contemporary videos so they now can be viewed online. For a list of original performance venues see the curriculum vitae.
